Chapter 1 preface
To make the machines play a full role and operators use them safely and correctly, you must first read the handbook,
which will help you enter the realm you are familiar with and use them with satisfaction.
Aluminum alloy together with anode and 304 in stainless steel are applied to the body of sleeve label machines, making the
whole body more stable and durable. On the performance of the machinery, humanization and modularization design are
more likely to make it easier for the fast changing pattern,
much more convenient. On the circuit controlling, use interface to control the man-machine, making it easy to study and
understand. Excellent circuit design allows the
speed of sleeve label to rank the leading position in the international. Because this machine is used by the new design
concept of development, not only reducing the
mechanical adjustment, but also improving the accuracy of the cut and the speed of production, the operation of machinery
is about to be explained.
Chapter 2 Safe standards and practices
2---1 the demands for safe installation
First of all, damage inspections must be carried out before installation and boot-strap as machinery is delivered to scene,
including whether framework is a distortion,
the electric cabinet is damp, especially all components are in any trace of damage (such as collision marks ). If uncertain,
please check out whether the machine is
damaged to the manufacturing company. On finding any damage, please inform the shipping company.
Don’t remove the package if machine is not located. This machine can be carried by a forklift Taking can begin from front of the
bottom of the machine. Don’t use the
cable for hoisting and erection! Only when you follow the instructions can the safe installation be ensured. Or it may result in the
people’s injury and the damage of machinery.
Don’t cover the radiator in electrical cabinet, ensuring that ventilation is normal. Or you'll make an electric components temperature
so high that it causes the damage and the
work of the machine not stable.
Confirm whether the power is to comply with this machine, because if voltage isn’t suitable, it will damage the components.
2—2 the security precautions and measures of safeguard and maintenance
The workers operating the electrical appliance and machine elements must be trained and then approved.
The workers who received training and approved are allowed to maintain the electrical appliance and machine elements. And he must
be not only familiar with machinery installation
and the maintenance of electrical appliance, but also an experienced professional.
To make regular examination and repair and maintenance, eliminate hazards immediately to avoid causing great loss.
Don’t maintain machinery when it is electrical.
Only cut off the circuit in control cabinet and the power, you can maintain.
Attention
Though the machine power is cut off, there is still electricity in some components
The components and transmission should be checked annually at least. If the erosion of working circumstance seriously, the frequency
of examination should be increased.
Maintenance of security measures
All the components must be maintained by professionals in order to avoid damage and people’s injury.
We must carry out repair work immediately once machine is in failure. The elimination of fault should be carried out by the technician
authorized .After you have maintained the
machine, you must check the security device of machinery. Then you can start operating the machine.
Don't use electro-welding or flame to cut any parts. If there is a fire, you can use fire extinguisher.
Don’t climb the machine. You should use the safe platform or scaffolding.
When using mechanical equipment (crane etc.) to hoist and move spare-parts, you should be careful as using them even though they
are light, for there is some danger in slipping
and unbalance.
If it is impossible to repair the spare parts; you should ask the manufacturing unit for them (under the warranty time), rather than
survey
and map and make by yourself, which will
cause mismatch and damage to other parts.
2---3 pre-examination
Inspection of equipment
Check whether machine is in perfect .If there is any damage or incomplete packaging, inform the transportation company
immediately.
Please confirm whether the machine received
matches the one ordered, compare the model and brand.
When you are carrying the machine, you must refer to the size of appearance, installation space to ensure that all
the connections and
maintenance operations have enough space.
You are allowed to carry the machine from the designated place using a forklift. No hoisting.
There is enough capacity for machine installation, or at least appropriate measures.
There must be suitable space on the left and right of the machine to keep air flow and make the components radiate heat
and ventilate.
There must be enough supporting points at right position of installation.
No pushing and pressing, prizing controlling cabinet. Bottom border is the only part of load-bearing.
2---4 Attention to issues of electronic equipment
The standard running environment of sleeve label machine:
Temperature: -10°C to +40°C
Installation: indoor
Power frequency: 50±5 HZ
Voltage: 1Æ210-230V AC
Power: 3.5KW
Electrical installation requires
Only the persons through the professional examination are permitted to operate electrical components. It is specially pointed out that
any operation on control cabinet should be carried
out after the power connected to machine has been cut. Main power supply can be cut off by cutting the circuit breaker.
The danger of electric shock: Even when the main source was cut off or the main circuit was turned off the stage, some electrical
components may still be charged.
The danger of burning:current may lead to the temporary or long- time heating of electrical components ,so be careful when you touch
and move cables ,control cables ,power lines,
cover of junction box and crust.
Even when the machine is logged off, as long as the circuit breaker is closed , power line is still electrical. More information, please refer
to the schematic diagram.
If you want to clean the control panel, you mustn’t use compressed air unfiltered directly, but vacuum cleaner to clean. The water and oil in
compressed air will cause short of lines and
reduction of resistance insulation.
Chapter 3 Preparation before operating
3----1 Operation cautions
Check whether the bolts are loose before boot-strap.
3-1-1 after boot-strap, first of all, you should use manual keys to check if there is any abnormality in components. If there is no abnormality,
the machine can be operated automatically.
3-1-2 when you start up the emergency stop switch, cutter mechanism will look for the origin automatically .Make sure the guide pin is installed
correctly and not loose before boot-strap .
Otherwise the central guide pin and cutter will be damaged.
3-1-3 to avoid damaging cutter, observe whether the cutter blade is too long when you change it.
3-1-4 don’t put your hands into the working area of cutter as the machine is in standby or running normally.
3-1-5it is invalid to start the command-option if you don’t turn on BOIS.
3—2 Installation and clearance
Mainframe, conveyor, shrink oven etc. must be in the line, the center of conveyor and the center of cutter head must be justified, datum plane
should be adjusted in level. When machine
is running at tremendous speed, the supporting points should be stable on the ground, no gap. The voltage should be checked. There must be
enough space in host positioning so that
it will be convenient for maintenance .in the future. The circumstance’s humidity is not above 45°C to avoid the failure of some components.
Don’t put the machine near a fan or the vent of
air conditioners, for the flowing wind will affect label sleeving.
Clean
Remove the dust and oil left as transportation and installation. Please clean and scrub the guide bar,
lead rail, screw and gear slide and then
daub some grease on them. Don’t daub grease
on such components as belt roller, belt, rubber wheel and engine.

4------3 the introduction of components’ function-
Cutter head unit
Put the cutter blades as planets matching and with a deflecting crank shaft steel framework ,
to cut the shrink film.
Machine unit
The whole machine adopts aluminum with anode treatment and stainless steel 304
to support mainframe and fix conveyor belt.
Shrink oven (electrothermal or steamy)
Use the heat generated by electricity or steam to attach the labels sleeved in bottles to bottles.
Driving unit
Adopt single or double mechanism to control the engine synchronously
to make shrink film deliver in a fixed size.
Screw arbor for bottle-separating
Sleeve the material into the bottle. Make use of the regular distance delivery of bolts
to make the bottles distribution in equidistance, making
the label sleeving more easily.
Bottle-taking unit
Two sides run synchronously, adjust the height and the position
with single hand to make the bottle not shake and easier to set the height
of label that will be sleeved.
Warning lights
When there is no fault, the light is green; lack of film material, the light is yellow;
mainframe is not normal, the light is red.
Center pole
It will make the material sleeved and open, making the material convey and cut.
Electronic eyes shelf unit
Use light electronic eyes to send signal, supply control system to convey with fixed size,
adjust the height of electronic eyes and locate the
position of blade cutting.
Brush unit
Use rubber to position the label having been sleeved
Brushing unit
Adjust the machine synchronously. Then adjust the two delivery wheels to the under
of center pole to touch slightly. When the label passes,
it will make the labels sleeve in bottles at a faster speed.
Label plate
You can set the fixed paper loop of label film material after adjusting from 5’’to 10’’
,transmitting material by a group of convey idler wheels
slow down the motor to transmit the material.
Conveyor belt
Use transducer to adjust the speed of conveyor belt to match the speed of producing.
Electronic eyes for bottle-irradiating
Monitor the suitable bottles position, send signal to make mainframe sleeve volume labels automatically.
Feeding material plane
It consists of feeding material box controlling strain when transmitting label material and
feeding material plane above electronic eyes plane group.
This part is to deliver label coating materials.
Man-machine interface
It is the backbone of the machine. There is manual, automatic, setting, abnormal etc
in the showing pages of operation, with several knobs and
pressure knobs to operate label-sleeving.
Chapter 5----The installation of label coating materials
5-----1 illustration
5-1-1 As being shown in picture, put label coating materials on the label plate, sleeve the pressing
plate and press it slightly, then screw the screws.
5-1-2 put out material as being shown and open the idler wheel in clockwise sense to make coating
materials pass between the idler wheels.
5-1-3 Wind the material round the wheels, then penetrate materials at the end of the center pole.
5-1-4 open the driving wheel before penetrating materials, hold the bottom of the center pole and
jack up with your left hand to make the central idler
wheel separate from the main driving wheel.
Pass materials through cutter with your right hand, and then fix centre pole with your
right hand without taking extra trouble.
5-1-5 move back the center pole to the home position, then pick up the driving wheel and determine
the position, touch slightly. At this moment,
the installation of label is over.
5-----2 cutting test-
After pressing the CUT in the home page of man-machine interface, collect the transmission button
to operate cutting. You should operate trial cut
repeatedly at least five times. Cut the substandard
labels material. You must press the start button if you want to enter the automatic page.
Chapter 6 the adjustment and setup for electronic eyes shelves
6----1 the adjustment for electronic eye shelves as its volume label cutting-
6-1-1 you can adjust the position of shelf’s slide upward or downward.
6-1-2 if the label above is too long, adjust the slide downward.
6-1-3 if the label beneath is too long, adjust the slide upward until to the right place.
6-----2 setup for the sensitivity of electronic eyes (refer to enclosure)
6-2-1 Because different labels have different colors ,density, thickness of materials,
although our staff have adjusted the machine before it is installed ,
when you change different labels’ material,
the sensitivity of electronic eyes may affect the label sleeving, such as the sensitivity is too high or too low.
If the sensitivity is too high, the length of
label is shorter; while if the sensitivity is too low,
it will cause the materials pulled .if the situation mentioned above happens,
you should adjust the sensitivity to meet the materials.
6-2-2 before adjusting the sensitivity, you should put labels near the electronic eyes and
confirm the printing transparency at this place. At this time,
you should confirm whether the red light and
green light on the inductor are off. If you can’t make the red light off after moving the labels
upward and downward, it means the transparency is weak.
Make labels aim at the eyes, adjust the button
of sensitivity on the eyes. When the lights are just off, adjust the machine until the red light is on.
6-2-3 you should turn on the lights in principle, but because the transmittance of printing
on the materials is too strong, which may cause the erroneous
judgement for the eyes detection and lead to
sleeving abnormally.
6-2-4 if the adjustment is still abnormal, repeat the steps above and adjust the button of
sensitivity on the inductor slightly and you will check out
the right place on the button of sensitivity on the inductor.
Chapter 7 Detection for the positioning of label sleeving
7-----1 the principle of label sleeving
When there is a bottle passing through the eyes detecting bottles on the conveyor belt,
the driving unit will control the label automatically and brush the
longer label in the meantime. And the label will be
sleeved in the bottle. If the eyes are not at the right place, the label won’t be sleeved smoothly.
7-----2 the illustration for the eyes adjustment-
7-2-1 As being shown ,if label sleeving like A ,move the eyes in the direction of B; if like C ,
move the eyes from C to B, until the label is in the right place like bottle B .
7-----3 the instruction of detecting bottle electronic eyes
7-3-1 the electronic eyes are reflection-type. The body is movable, installed on the lead rail.
The body will cast light sent to the sleeved thing, and then reflect
to the body receiving the light as a signal for
label sleeving.
7-3-2 when there are no things to be sleeved, the light on the inductor is off. If the light is on,
adjust the sensitivity button with small one model screwdriver,
until the reacting light is off.
7-3-3 when there are some things to be sleeved, the light cast receives the reflection of bottle.
At the moment, the light on the inductor is on: If the light is off, it means the
light cast is too weak to reflect.
At this time, you should adjust the sensitivity button until the light is on.
7-3-4 Make trial repeatedly until the sensitivity is suitable.
7-----4 the key to debugging
7-4-1 the speed of conveyor belt .bolts and positioning belt is not the same, causing the label sleeving failure or unstable.
7-4-2 the following is that bottle is forward declining:
Reasons: 1.the belt carried bottles is too fast
2.the conveyor line is too slow.
7-4-3 if the bottle declines backwards: the reason is opposite
The phenomenon following can be consistent by adjusting the knobs on the panel
Positioning belt
7-4-4 label is not in place
Reasons: 1 brush is not to label
2 the belt is too high
3 sleeving is not right
4 because of the 7.1.1 and 7.1.2

8-1 the mechanism ichnography of cutter head group
8-2The detailed illustration of installation
8-2-1 if you are to change the blade, dismantle it as being shown.
8-2-2 when you are changing the blade, pay more attention to the frame rate left
when dismantle the old blade, namely the length of blade. The new blade must be
longer than the old one if you want to
install blade. Otherwise when cutting the label, the coating materials aren’t cut and
the label can’t be brushed.
8-2-3Attention when install blade:
A. Whether the blade is in the ditch
B After conforming the length of blades, don’t operate on the edge and tip of the cutter,
when dismantling the blade.
C If you want to install the blade, you should install it in the direction of installing the cutter head.
8-2-4 after finishing installing the blade, when you are hanging the belt, mark the belt to avoid making
the label get stuck. Then the machine can run normally.
8-2-5 when you are dismantle the blade, avoid cutting by the blade; you hands should be off the blades
when dismantling with tools. Make sure that your left hand must
clench the strained belt, and then
you are allowed to dismantle the screws on the pressing plate. Screw the pressing plate moderately
to avoid the plate’s deformation.
8-2-6 if there is any abnormity, strange noise on the blades, please inform us to examine and repair.
Chapter 9 the illustration for controlling man-machine interface
9-----1 the illustration of operating
The sleeve label machine is an operation device, which is mainly in touch-screened man-machine
interface and a number of external assisted traditional switches beneath
. All the function message of choice, showing can be realized by this
device of showing pages, which is easy
to understand and with a good affinity.
9-1-1 boot-strap: as being shown above

1. The motor of delivering material: to control the movement of idler wheel

the mainframe to meet the height for sleeving.

This control system is a warning message consisting of lights with three colours and showing interface text.
(六) three lights: red,yellow, green lights are arranged top-down on the back of the mainframe’s top
The meanings of them are as follow:
1. Red: mainframe’s abnormity
2. Yellow: if it is on all the time, that means the machine is in manual situation; if it is flickering,
it means the labels lack materials
3.Green: in automation, no abnormity

Chapter10 Adjustment for other components (Select and use the spare parts)
10-1 the adjustment of bottle-taking unit, screw arbor, label-swiping unit and pre-shrink oven must be re-set to suit
the shape of bottles when producing different shapes of bottles
10-2 The operator should co-operate the adjustment exercise mentioned above with the engineer in our company
when buying this machine. You should practice more time.
Chapter 11 lubrication and maintenance
11-1 daily routine matters
11-1-1 grease such sliding surface as the guide rod, lead rail, screw arbor, slide carriage and bearing once two weeks.
You can use domestic premium-brand circular engine
oil R32 or equivalent grade grease such as VG32
11-1-2 Use the machine oil to grease the gear once a week.
11-1-3 use clean cloth to remove the original oil before greasing
11-1-4 if the spot to be greased has been polluted by clear foreign body such as dust, scrap iron and moisture, please clean
it at once before greasing.
11-1-5 if you find rust when examining other components at ordinary times, please get the rust off and grease.
11-1-6 please keep the machine clean. Don’t put other irrelevant things on the machine.
11-1-7 inspect if there is any break or serious damage in the transmission belt weekly. Please make the purchase for spare
parts in advance for this matter.
11-1-8 make a correlative maintenance form and maintain the machine punctually
11-1-9 use an air gun to eliminate dust or dunghill on the electric equipment plate every week to make the components move
and operate normally.
11-1-10 before boot-strap, confirm whether the blade corresponds to the ring-canal on the center pole. The position must be at
the original point of the blade.
11-1-11 before boot-strap, confirm the driving wheel at both sides of the center pole is at the right place and the driving wheel is
fixed to avoid the center pole moving.
11-1-12 make sure whether the bois wheel is at the same height as the idler wheel below the center pole and press it on the idler
wheel gently.
11-1-13 make sure whether there is any foreign body left on the conveyor belt
11-1-14 make sure whether the position and passing material on the material shelf is normal and coating materials are in deformation.
11-1-15 make sure whether the center of shrink coating materials on material shelf is aligned with the center of center pole. Otherwise
you should the position of material plate.
11-1-16 Make sure the height of mainframe cutter head is the condition of producing bottles
11-1-17 Make sure the position of positioning belt. The pressure of nipping bottles mustn’t be too tight.
11-1-18 Make sure the revolving belt on the shrink oven. The pressure of clamping bottles mustn’t be too tight.
11-1-19 make sure whether the center of picking up bottles is below the center
11-1-20 make sure whether the moving speed after the taking bottle group clamping bottles is at the same speed of the conveyor belt.
11-1-21 make sure whether the electronic eyes are at the right place. Test the sleeving labels before producing.
11-1-22 when the operation is over, turn off the shrink oven first. After the fan cools off ten minutes later, turn off the fan and the power.
11-1-23 at last, close the main power source according to the power-off measures illustrated in the man-machine interface. Make sure
whether the body of bottles stops under the
center pole when the screw arbor connects bottles.
